PCNSW submission to the NSW Parliament inquiry August 2019

The Presbyterian Church in NSW has been pro-active in opposing the State Government’s proposed abortion Bill. In a submission to the Government, the church says the Bill “…reduces the protections for unborn children and opens the way for late term abortions, abortions for the purpose of sex selection and the destruction of children with disabilities. The Bill has no real requirement for provision of counselling for a woman considering terminating a pregnancy. It also fails to protect the freedom of conscience for medical practitioners.”

Action: What you can do

During the Legislative Council’s debate over the abortion Bill, NSW Moderator Richard Keith sent a call to action to all Presbyterian churches in NSW. It remains a useful document to help all Christians take action on this important issue. Useful links to resources are included.
